Greetings brawlers! Welcome to the second issue of Battle Tactics with BrightLight!

I’m very pleased to share with you one of the most fundamental strategies to keep in mind for your next brawl. Sometimes starting off with your best foot forward can propel you to the winner’s circle and there’s no better time like the present to get started and improve your strategy just in time for BakuCon NYC.

Gate Card Placement, Tip #2: Early Placement

Some Gate cards can be best used when played early in the game. When you are playing one of these cards, be sure to put it out first and have a plan for what you want to do when you engage in battle on it. A great early placement card is the Copper Gate Card, ‘Rattleoid’. Battling on this card early in the game puts your enemy in an odd situation where they have to dump a bunch of Ability Cards or hold on to them allowing you to get some mega G-Power bonuses. This can be particularly devastating when brawling with the Big Game rules!

As you can see, timing can be everything, so I hope you’ll take this strategy and use it as part of your moves to defeat your opponents!

Season 3: Gundalian Invaders Bakugan Codes – DO NOT SHARE

Attention brawlers!

We would like to notify all brawlers to not share your Bakugan Season 3 Gundalian Invaders 'heat reveal' 10-digit codes with anyone else as they are specific to each Bakugan and will be required for future online use. Do not post the code or pictures of your Bakugan online. Once the code has been entered online in the upcoming redemption system you cannot use it again, so please keep your code a secret for your eyes only!

Stay tuned to Bakugan.com as the homepage will feature more information as we draw closer to the release of the online system and the use of the 10-digit 'heat reveal' codes that are found on Season 3 Gundalian Invaders Bakugan.

With the release of the newest Bakugan Toys the Gundalian Invaders, perhaps the most exciting update to the game is the Bakugan Battle Gear! This new battle gear for Bakugan enhances and upgrades your existing Bakugan in battle. The battle gear only works for Battle Gear compatible Bakugan, but it is pretty amazing! Strap on a jet pack and laser cannon, a suit of armor and giant shield, or powerful turbines and missile launchers to your bakugan balls and watch them take the huge advantage on the Bakugan battle field.

The Bakugan Battle gear works similar to how the balls work magnetically. It comes rolled up in a hidden form, kind of like the Bakugan traps were, and when placed on a compatible open Bakugan in battle, it attaches itself and pops open to reveal the amazing new upgrades inside!

Each piece of battle gear comes with an ability card that you play first as well. The ability card describes what effects the battle gear will have, from G power boosts, to affects on the battle field and gate cards. Some battle gear has very special attributes and powers that will add whole new levels of gameplay and strategy to Bakugan Battle Brawlers.

So far, 6 different kinds of battle gear has been identified, from the Rock Hammer to the Battle Turbine (formerly known as the Bakugan Cannon that we were all wondering about), to the Vilantor, and more!

The Battle gear comes with attributes the same as its Bakugan though with different symobls, and can be played during a battle.

That's right, the new Bakugan Gundalian Invader Toys are coming out very soon. Already there are some leaked toys on eBay to check out. Check back to this post later and we will have a full write up of the new Gundalian Invader Balls and what special features they will include from thermal DNA stickers that give you a code to enter online that will unlock the full potential of your new Gundalian Bakugan. This is exciting because it looks like it will add a new online element to the gameplay, possibly letting you play Bakugan online with players around the world!

Bakugan Battle Gear Is Here!

Another exiting development is the new Bakugan magnetic battle gear that attaches to the Bakugan to enhance it's power and effects in the game to much much more! Remember those pictures of the Bakugan Cannon and other strange attachments that kept popping up? Those were prototypes for the new Bakugan Battle gear! This Battle Gear comes folded up, and when placed on the back of Battle Gear Compatible Bakugan it pops open to reveal its inner power! Finally, we can use something similar to those Meta Bakugan in battle!

Also, the new Gundalian Invader Battle Packs come with a new Bakugan launcher that controls the spin and direction your Bakugan ball will launch into battle. They double as a storage device and a Bakugan keychain so you can take your gundalian bakugan balls with you wherever you go, always ready to Brawl!

Hey all, we just got this message from Spin Masters, and we had to share it with you. Sorry for not sending you our regular updates, we've been on vacation the past few weeks. But now we are back and ready for action! Watch out Bakugan Brawlers! There's some exciting things in store for the Bakugan Dojo!

Attention Bakugan Battle Brawlers!

With the start of the first ever, nationwide, official Bakugan tournament several issues have been addressed concerning specific gameplay rules, game practices, and legitimate product.

Recently, the BakuCon Tournament Rules has received an update addressing the use of season 1 Bakugan, Trap, Launchers and Ramps, and correct Bonus procedures during matches. The latest version can be downloaded here: BakuCon Tournament Rules.

More importantly, the concern of purchasing and using fake/illegal/imported Bakugan arose through the observation of the official BakuCon judges, BakuCon participants, and several integral community members.

A simple question has fueled a much heated debate which has been escalated in priority and has officially been addressed:

What is the highest printed G-Power on official Spin Master Bakugan?

Currently, the highest Season 2 G-Power printed on a Bakugan is 780G. The only exception to that G-Power cap is Mystic Elico which has a printed G-Power of 820G on its projecting dice.

This information is extremely critical in determining which Bakugan are genuine from the mass amounts of knockoffs, fakes, and imports found on online auctions, small boutiques, etc. Please avoid from purchasing such product as they are not allowed in any official tournament play and are not considered legitimate, genuine Spin Master product.

Additionally, this information will be shared with the BakuCon officials and will be thoroughly shared with all partners to ensure that tournament participants are playing with genuine Bakugan. Fortunately, the Regional Champions from Chicago and Los Angeles were using Bakugan within the genuine printed G-Power ranges.

Lastly, we would like to give a personal thank you and apologies to the following members who voiced their opinions and helped raise the much needed red flag to resolve this issue:

Be very careful of fakes when you buy online. Be sure you check that the seller is a reputable seller and doesn't print his own fakes. Oh, and if you buy a doom card on eBay... odds are it's a fake! Fake Bakugan with fake bakugan g powers are a big problem, and you don't want to be caught using a fake in a tournament since that could just ruin your day!

BATTLE TACTIC #1: GATE CARD PLACEMENT - JANUARY 2010

Welcome to the first issue of Battle Tactics with BrightLight!

I’m very excited to bring you this new article which will be published monthly, highlighting battle strategies for you to hone your brawling skills and become a top brawler. And with Baku-Con just around the corner, there’s no better time than now to develop your brawling tactics!

Let’s get this brawl started with my first strategy tip!

Gate Card Placement: Conditional

The order in which you play your Gate cards is almost as important as which cards you choose to play with. Gate cards are unusual as they don’t necessarily do anything outside of a battle. It’s not until they are actually used in a brawl that you will see their full affect. So, you have to strategically think ahead when playing Gate cards.

Using a card more than once is a great battle tactic! Take for example, the Gate card ‘Flybeetle Rescue’ which allows you to put a used Red Ability card into your unused pile. When using this Gate card you need to make sure that by the time a battle begins on the card that you have a Red Ability card in your used pile. If you are using a Red Ability card with a generic use like ‘Try Again’, which allows you to re-roll any Pyrus, Haos, or Subterra Bakugan, then don’t play ‘Flybeetle Rescue’ until you have already used ‘Try Again’. However, if you are using a Red Ability card like ‘Flames of Light’ then you can play ‘Flybeetle Rescue’ first. Then, use the ‘Flames of Light’ to add a Bakugan to the Gate card when your opponent lands on it.

Using Gate cards and Ability cards in a strategic order is critical to claiming ultimate victory on the battlefield and is one of the most basic but necessary tactics to keep in mind.
